The typical Engadine house, located on the Berninapass, offers a cosy, informal atmosphere with the possibility to stay overnight in 1, 2, 4-bed-room with shower. The hotel "Berninahaus" was completely rebuilt in summer 2003 and we are pride to offer you a very beautiful old house in good conditions.

Let our chef treat you to select specialities of the region. Finish off your meal with something sweet from our famous dessert buffet. Then bring your day in the Roseg valley to a mellow close by the fireplace, with a good glas of wine from our cellar.

The Glacier Restaurant Morteratsch is located directly on the UNESCO World Heritage Bernina RHB Line and in the immediate vicinity of the Morteratsch Glacier. Three sections with lots of Swiss stone pine wood, where you can really enjoy yourself, 1 terrace, which you won't find anywhere else in the world - all this and much more awaits you at the Hotel & Restaurant Morteratsch in Pontresina. In the Bellavista panorama restaurant, there are all kinds of delicious dishes from the “devil's kitchen” on the menu. Regional recipes from Graubünden and Valtellina are in the center of the menu. And as a “side dish” to complete the delectable meal, guests can consider the beautiful alipne scenery behind the huge window. Up here, the highest mountain in the Eastern Alps lies at your feet.

At the alpine cheese dairy, cheese and curd are made over an open fire. You can watch them being made by hand the traditional way, as well as taste the many varieties produced at the cheese buffet. The idyllic alpine hut is located close to the Morteratsch Glacier, 5km from Pontresina, surrounded by nature. It is easily reached on foot, by bike or train (train stop Morteratsch).

Book by 5 pm the day before, and you can enjoy a delicious brunch. This includes a substantial cheese buffet, fresh smoked curd cheese, smoked alpine sausage and alpine butter, as well as honey, jam, fruits, various types of bread, and of course orange juice, coffee, tea and milk.

Cheese making: from the beginning of July to mid-August, daily 9-11 am and 1-3 pm; from mid-August to the end of September, 9.30 am -noon.

The mountain hut "Alp Grüm" is located close to the Bernaina massiv and is 2,091 meters high. It is a hotel and restaurant with a scenic sun terrace. The feeling of freedom and relaxation is reached after a nice hike trail, a mountainbike tour or simply a drive with the panoramic Rhaetian Railway. The view of the Alp Grüm sun terrace is very beautiful, offering an outlook over the Bernina massiv, the Palü Glacier and the Val Poschavio. Alp Grüm is everytime worthwile to visit and offers delicious regional specialities like Pizzoccheri and Cordon Bleu.

Between July and October you can visit the beautiful stone-houses of Sassal Masone! In a one hour easy walk from Ospizio Bernina, along alpine flora and fauna you will reach the beautiful point of view of Sassal Masone. Since 1876 one of the finest and most rewarding viewpoints in the Bernina region. A wonderful view on the valley and to the Palü glacier will turn your day to a magic experience. Let yourself be pampered by the Family Pianta and enjoy a glass of fine local Veltliner wine and local specialities.

Situated at the very heart of the Marguns ski area is the Sternbar, one of the trendiest outdoor bars anywhere in the Engadin
and that’s all down to your host, Mark Guhler. Originally native to the Canton of Uri, Mark moved to the Engadin sixteen years
ago and has been cranking up the mood behind the bar and the turntables ever since.

Where, if not at the highest station of the Rhaetian Railway at over 2253 metres above sea level, is it worth taking a break? The station buffet at Ospizio Bernina Station not only offers refreshing drinks and delicious snacks after a long hike or bike tour, but also a breathtaking panorama. To list the individual highlights of the view would fill pages, so the Cambrena Glacier and Lago Bianco are particularly worthy of special mention. And for all those who, for example, are aiming for the Piz Campasc or the popular Alp Grüm, the station buffet Ospizio Bernina is an ideal starting point.

Specialties from the kitchen: Homemade fruittart, Tschiervarösti, dry meat from the Engadin and many more.

Charakter: Mountaineering of all types and grades, from extreme high-alpine climbs in rock and ice to alpine treks on easier routes. Highlights: Unique view of the Biancograt from the terrace. As the name of the Tschierva hut suggests, deer and chamoix can often be seen here. The hut has recently been refurbished and is now even more comfortable than before.

3 hours walk from Pontresina through the Valley of Roseg. From Pontresina till Hotel Restaurant Roseg you could arrive by bike or you could take the horse carriage (for reservation phone +41 (0)78 944 75 55).
