On 1st July 2015, the ‘Bernina Glaciers adventure territory’ association opened a viewing-platform at the Diavolezza mountaintop station to afford visitors an even better experience of the unique mountain backdrop featuring the Bernina group as well as the Pers and Morteratsch glaciers. To harmoniously integrate with the landscape, the shape of the viewing-platform is aligned to the course of the glacial moraine.
Berghaus Diavolezza resets the stage
Mid-December 2014, the remodeling of the stairway to the Diavolezza Mountain Station was completed. A Glacier Trilogy consisting of three floor-to-ceiling photographs from the renowned photographer Robert Bösch gets visitors, in anticipation of their glacier experience, in the right mood. Additionally, new handrails, done in ‘Ice Look’, complete the scene
Morteratsch glacier trail
On 1st July 2015, the ‘Bernina Glaciers adventure territory’ association opened the Morteratsch glacier trail to afford visitors an even better experience of the Morteratsch glacier. There are sixteen stops providing information on the glacier’s retreat and the mystery of life in the glacier’s foreland. The Bernina Glaciers app supplies thrilling text material for additional exciting experiences in the midst of an impressive landscape. In this glacial world, children may follow the stories of the Morteratsch children’s book and the adventures of Sabi, the small glacier spirit.
