The children's books in the Bernina Glaciers adventure room

Sabi's big dream

Sabi the glacier spirit tells the story of his big dream on the Morteratsch glacier trail. Children aged 5 to 12 experience an exciting scavenger hunt with the book. Once they have found the solution word, they will receive a surprise gift at the Pontresina Tourist Information in the Pontresina Congress Centre.
The children's books are available in the Sabi letterbox at the entrance to the glacier trail or at the Tourist Information in Pontresina and Valposchiavo.

Grummo the giant

"Grummo the Giant" accompanies all children through the Cavaglia Glacier Garden. In the book, Grummo tells how he became a giant. The story is linked to a scavenger hunt. In this way, all the children learn a lot of interesting facts about the glacier world in a playful way. At the end of the book, the children should have found a solution word, which then gives them a small gift at the Pontresina or Val Poschiavo Tourist Information.
In summer, the children also get to cook with Grummo every Saturday using the magical herbs from the glacier garden. In the huge pots, Grummo cooks a crispy stone soup, a tender pine cone casserole and the singing larch stew. Finally, he sprinkles his magic herbs over all these dishes.

Fix shows you his world

Another children's book has been published as part of Bernina Glaciers. 10 stamp stations are distributed along the beautiful hiking trail to Val Roseg and offer children educational entertainment. Fix the sly fox shows the children the beauties of his valley and everything that can be sniffed, heard and seen in it. With Fix they learn more about the forest, animals, hunting and much more. He has laid a trail for them. If the children follow it, a surprise awaits them at the end. There are also information boards on the topics of forestry, hunting, lichens and birds on the wooden steles. Furthermore, so-called interaction stations have been created at 5 information points. The adventure trail was initiated by the Club da Fix, which also works closely with the relevant cantonal offices.

Plushin's whirlwind journey

As part of Repower and Bernina Glaciers, a fourth children's book could be published. Children can go on an adventure with "Pluschin", the water droplet, on the eco-power trail and find out the secrets of electricity production from hydropower. A little surprise awaits them at the end. The children's book "Pluschin's rapid journey" can be obtained free of charge from the Tourist Information Offices in Pontresina and Valposchiavo.
